Got it last March as blooming sized. After a year, most of which was spent in depressing fight with mites on this plant and many other paphs, it started a bud. It is my first multi to produce the bud.

Even though plant doesn't look very pretty because of mites damage, I am still very proud of that bud! Does it look ok? Seems too small and what is that brown stripe there?
Humidity is around 30%, will the bud survive?
Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't know there was a rule about that. Was just really excited since it is my first budding multi paph.
I will not post buds anymore.

There´s no rules about this!!!

If people don´t like bud watching...they only have to close their eyes.

A bud is always an exciting begining.

Congrats. St Swithin is one of my favourite multifloral hybrids

Thanks everybody for the encouragement and support! My bud is still alive despite low humidity.
Here is the progress and a question too :).
Why there is only one head on the spike and does it look too small to you?
Thanks again.

there will only be one flower on this but that could improve next time. Mine usually has 2-3 per spike when the plant has built up lots of strength over the previous year. wait till you see the bud opening it is really cool.

Looks good to me!:)
Time for some patience. It might take a month or more for the spike to grow and to bloom. I could be wrong but I don't think you can tell yet whether it will be just one flower. I think the plant looks really good.
