I had thought that it had stopped growing as the “leaf” that the spike emerged from was limp (turned out to be a really long “sheath”). And another fan decided to spike as well.

Proud of this one.

Nice to see it/them in bloom! Great outcome.

I was looking at my Paph. haynaldianum that's in bloom earlier today and it got me thinking. Overall I like haynaldianum better than lowii because of the larger size of the spots, but lowii (at least modern breeding lines) tends to have better color saturation. So maybe I should get a Paph. Toni Semple to hopefully get the best of both worlds, and then I can offload my haynaldianum and lowii to help free up some space. Then I hop on here tonight and see your post. Maybe it's a sign. :D
