Yes! My plant won't initiate a flower bud if the temperature at night won't drop around 10°C or below. Once the spike is well on its way, I put it where temps go down to 15°C at night. I put it near the window pane when the weather gets cold and that does the trick.

Interesting. I'll see how mine behaves when it grows bigger. It apparently didn't need lower temperatures to initiate a bud, but on the other hand, it didn't make it all the way. Now that the humidity isn't an issue any more, let's see if it'll be willing to bloom next year without lower temperatures.
