Brucher that's an extraordinarily nice flower. Not only by its stunning dorsal but also by its shape and stance (without staking, lol). Very impressive.

I also noticed how small the plant is. Leaves are stout and rounder than regular type. Polyploid? Or special population?

I love the shape of your charles. The pink rim on the upper petal is eye catching as well as the whole shape.
my P. charlesworthii has been in bloom for 4 weeks and the flower shape is very different.

No complaints, in that anytime one of my slippers blooms I am happy to enjoy what I get.

Not only the shape is different but also the pattern on the upper side of the leaves which I have seen before only on the underside close to their axilla.

The contribution of charlesworthii is significant to create hybrids as shown above, producing some of the best round red vinicolors. One cannot deny the unbelievable beauty of these hybrids.

I for one am a species specialist/connoisseur so I am very bias in my collection. But as a judge I am ecstatic to see these on the judging table and shows to ogle and prod at.

On a side note, I wonder if the dorsal picotee coloration will be stable in subsequent flowers. Or breeds through.
