Is this hybrid easy and fast to grow?

David

David, thank you :)
I have two of them. About growing, they tend to be like hangianum: slow growers
I succeed with my the first one (bought two years ago) to have one growth (one flower) per year, where other species will produce two or three growth in the same time.

For this one, I don't know yet because I only have it for 6 month and it is its first time flowering. I can see a new growth showing up at it's base, I will see if it is as slow as the first one I have.

It is easy to grow, likes to be kept moist, and root system is strong and very well developped for both plants.
So beside slowliness, from my point of view, it is an easy paph so far. You just need to be patient ;)

Very nice! What temperatures do you give it?

Is there something wrong with the RHS site? I can't find it listed.

I grow them home, under lights. Temps are between 18° to 24°C during our four to five winter month and 20° to 27°C the rest of the year.

Wow - that's warm. It's pretty much out for me, then, but I might give it a try, if I can find one for a good price, just to see how it will do. Thanks.

Very pretty flower, great job!

Did you find that the bud was quite slow to develop too?

Hum... no, I won't say that. I first noticed a bud was coming around April 15th, so it took a little more than a month and a half to have it in bloom.

This is short compared to some other species.
Second bud is on his way to open too. Probably this week-end, I will update here with new pics.
