I am really happy with the color on this Julius. It has definitely inherited the broad flower span from its roth parent (9 1/8” on the first bloom to open). It is really tall; I removed it from my 36” tall orchidarium this morning as the last bloom was getting cramped on the ceiling.

The back of the blooms are starting to get an avocado green hue to them; this is my first Julius blooming and I know you have a LOT of paphs 😁, do you grow Julius and have you seen a green back on the blooms?
I have a Julius, been raising it from a little pup (lol). Havent flowered it yet but the plant is doing great so maybe soon? Three large fans (blooming size or close?) and 3 baby fans.
Yours is gorgeous 😍

It looks so healthy and tidy! Mine is kinda of a sprawl-y beast. I had to remove it from the case I grow it inside as, between the leaves all over the place and the blooms all over the place, it just wasnt fitting! (Ruler is an 18” one, for scale)

Thats a widespread beast and very nice! Only thing I can attribute for mine being tidy is good overhead lights? Quite the color difference between the two also! Maybe mine needs more light? Its under botanical leds spike producers but about 18-18" from lights. Its on my tall plant shelf buried in the back to the side

I noticed that leaf color difference, too. I actually ordered those botanical leds spike producers, and I think it was your recommendation on another thread that led me to them. I checked their spectrum with my par/spectrometer when they arrived and they seem really great so I definitely think yours is getting enough and “right” light. I bet it will spike for you soon; it is clearly super healthy! I havent had mine under the botanical led spike producers (I put some different paphs under those), but under different led lights but with a similar profile and intensity, fwiw.

Cool, hope they work for you!! Like I said my plants are 16-18 inches below the lights and have only used an ap to check levels but everyone seems happy! St Swithin flowered last January, Michael Koopowitz and William Ambler are flowering now, all on the same shelf with the same lighting and same distance!
