It is always nice to see two spikes on a small plant. The second bud should open in another week or so.



It is that time of year when I need to make space to fit all my orchids inside. So, I will be selling this one on soon. The limiting impacts of space and time are such bummers.

I need to do so as I remember who Arnie was. He was President of the Greater New York Orchid Society when the Society helped to usher in the first Greater New York Show back in 1980 or 1981. First site was the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory @ the Bronx Botanic Garden.
It moved from there to the World Financial Center across from the twin towers in lower Manhattan. After the tragic events of 9/11, the show moved to Rockefeller Center.
Primarily due to declining membership, show restrictions placed upon the show by 30 Rock, the Show folded in 2007 or 2008.
Arnie suddenly passed and right around that time, past AOS President Carlos Fighetti took over.
