Paphiopedilum St Swithin (philippinense x rothschildianum)

I have had this Paph. for about one year and I really adore it. It has flowered for the first time, and it has five buds on two spikes. It would have had six but I accidentally knocked one off.
I have nicknamed it 'Lucu' after my favourite tiger, due to the stripes on the flowers.

Mine is forming its first bud at the moment. I'm surprised how quickly the spike grows when it appears.

Yes, they are fast when they 'decide' to flower.

Yes, they are fast when they 'decide' to flower.

Will post pics when they open. So far I count 3 buds bud spike is still extending. It(s a first time bloomer for me.

Lovely balance of the dorsal and ventral. Certainly looks very healthy.
