Here is my first bloom Seedling of the cross Phal. Mituo Blue Smurf's x Phal. KS Blue Ludde. After cutting the first two when the plant was still tiny.

I know that there is now a shall we say blue craze in the phal novelty breeding. I thought of buying a flask or two but the results in the desired color is very small. Plus some that I've seen, are not a full flower. Am I correct in my assumption?

You are correct. The ones that did come out with the desired result are far and between.
 
That could be a problem really. When similar things are crossed back and forth, the gene pool becomes very limiting. The pool needs some fresh water, some new blood, a new hybrid or two introduced to jazz things up a bit.
As a Phalaenopsis lover, especially with these guys, every body looks like every body else. It is a bit disappointing.
 
I had hopes for this one. But it didn’t turn out with the amount of barring I was hoping for. Glad I only had a few seedlings and not a flask to grow out.
