Hi all,

This is a gift from Jean (JeanLux) (thanks a million Jean, it is a great plant!! :) ).
The tag writes schilleriana, but it seems like a phillipinensis.
What do you think? (sorry for the bad photos :()

I am off to my parents' place now, so when I go back, I shall take some new pics...!
Thanks Mu!! :)

More photos please. Most schilleriana are more pink than white and the
foliage has a more distinct pattern. The photo of the back of the bloom shows some pink...hmmmm. I wonder if it could be a schill. phil. cross?

Interesting: We selected 2 plants at the time with Alexej, one for me too :) .
this one:

and when I compared to the pic of an older plant (from some years ago) there seems to be quite a diff. on the lip:

or is it a possible variability within the species?

Jean

Phili has pink on the back of its flowers and I've noticed that the pattern on the leaves on phil, schill, and stuartiana can vary a lot. I have all three, and the one with the least distinct pattern is my schill (the *******).

The first picture in JeanLux's post could quite possibly be a Philischill (guess the parents of this primary hybrid! ), but the last one looks like a schill to my amateur eyes.

Thanks for the info everyone!!!

Jean, are these flowers on the same plant/spike?
The first one looks like mine, but the last one is completely different!!
Very interesting!!!

First one should be brother/sister with yours, and the second one is from an 'old' plant which stopped flowering here  !! Jean

Thanks Jean! :)

It's a lovely conundrum...stuphilschill? Is the flower fragrant?

Angela, as far as my plant is concerned, flowers are not fragrant... at least I did not detect any...
