:rollhappy: Another beauty I got from Jean-Pierre

Phrag. besseae var. flavum (Yellow Gold x Yellow Bird)
It's 6 cm wide as of this morning and very flat, firm and velvety in texture, and yellow through and through. It's probably got more widening to do but I can't be certain there will be enough light tomorrow for a picture.

A first flowering too for this plant.

I will Eric, tomorrow if there's enough sunlight into the greenhouse. But it's not a big plant.

Very nice! With all the hybridizing to improve the reds of besseae, I'm surprised we haven't seen more to improve yellows. Like there has been done with phals to get a good chrome yellow that dosen't fade. I'd like to see it.

nice. is that a phal schilleriana hanging in the background?

I'm not sure. I have three phal species behind that could be in the picture: schilleriana, sturartiana and sanderiana. The first two are in buds. Like everything else in the greenhouse they are grown rather cool, that is about 12C at night.
