Here blooming for the second time this year. Awarded Jan 28 with 2 flowers not quit as coloriful then but with longer petals. If I remember correctly it took nearly 20 years to bloom the first time now only months!

Rick! You must have a lot of space in your G/H to keep that one for 20 years without flowering. That said, very nice flowers.

Ok,OK I was a little off on the incubation time it took to cook these flowers up. I checked the tag and the earlist date was May 1997 so just over 15 years. Using this old fart's memory I wasn't off by much

Oh, only 15 years? That's a different story. :rollhappy: ;)

Great job waiting this one out. I wouldn't have had the patience. Looks great though.

As beautiful as the first time around with more color to the flower :) Congrats!
Mine was pretty blend.. maybe it's more colorful during the summer time.. Who knows anymore, with Phrags.. lol :)

I checked out yours Silvan and do see the "toothy-ness" but I don't find it distracting. What bothers you about it?

Well, what bothers me is that I've never seen a toothy Court Jester. So I feel like I've done something wrong ... I'm not sure but I think that the fact that I didn't water my phrags on a regular basis for the past couples of months didn't help, 'cause most of my recent flowering were toothy...
Anyway, I notice that your plant is holding 2 flowers, did it at some point hold more than that ?

There is a third bud coming on (not well seen in pic). The first blooming in Jan I think there was only two flowers (check old flower stalk in pic). We shall see if three will be held. I'm guessing summer heat, no.

15 years sounds long when typed/spoken but it seems like just yesterday to me!!LOL. UPDATE: the first flower dropped off last night as the third split open! So, the answer is; the plant won't hold 3 flowers at once in the summer time anyways.
