How big is your flower, Russell? Mine is quite small.

Hi Dot, mine is 7.5 petal tip to tip and 5.5 from tip of dorsal to bottom of pouch.

Bigger than mine, which is 5.5 wide and 5 tip to bottom. I thought mine was quite small when it opened, but I didn't have any experience with these until now. Maybe the next flowering will be larger. Is yours a first bloom???

This is the second time blooming,when I recieved it it was spiking and I had to cut the spike off as I did not think it was in good shape for flowering. Than it went down hill and I manage to get it to start growing again. It still is not as healthy as I would like to see it.

Actually, a 5.5 cm HNS is pretty typical for a first bloom Phrag. d'allesandroi seedling. I'm sure the flower will increase in size as the plant gets bigger.
