Thanks all! Yes it seems to be a compact grower. A great attribute for a phrag!
Most of my phrags are in semi hydro, except for kovachii & besseae, and a few seedlings. I use the large size Hydroton, and it has been going quite well for me. It almost feels like cheating, to be honest. I feed kelp & humic acid after repotting, then maybe monthly after that. Nutrients are fairly low, and I top up the pots with rain water rather than fertilizer. 12-4-8 Miracle Gro & micros, Cal-Mag, fish fert, but flushing with rainwater in between. Because the fish stinks, I maybe only use it once a month.
