Yay bessee hybrids! I dont think it would get redder. Summer Fire is linleyanum x klotzscheanum a very GREEN phrag!

I've seen a photo of this cross with a very red flower. Question is, was it that really red? It's a quarter besseae, a quarter lindleyanum, a quarter klotscheanum and a quarter hirtzii. But I get your point Eric.

the flowers of Phrag. Summer Fire are wonderful red to brownish red. Here two examples of this cross.

They are growing very well but are lazy in flower. I get the plants some years ago from Dr. Pulley from Los Gatos
