For what its worth, my besseae experience night time temps in the low 60s to high 50s in the winter. My summer night time temps are in the mid-high 60s during the summer. Now my summer days are warmer in the high 70s to low 80s.

Also, I am dusting off a spot for it now

I have both heard of and read that besseae likes it both cooler and more moist.

I have my few besseae and hybrids in a 50% sphagnum and seedling mix. Trying to induce moisture rention without drowning.

I have most of my Phrags in a mixture (50/50 - 60/40) of Leca/Grodan cubes. They seem to be doing well- I have them in clear plastic pots so I can watch the root show.
