A nice clone of Rachel Kirk I got from H. P. Norton. Rachel Kirk is Don Wimber x besseae. A nice grower and my favorite Rachel Kirk clone. Enjoy!

Yay besseae hybrids! Was that made with Don Wimber x besseae flavum? The color is super!!

I asked the Nortons about the parents used in the cross awhile back. They said it was besseae 'Orchidview' 4N and a 4N Don Wimber. They didn't mention that the besseae was a flavum. I asked if the besseae was possibly a dalessandroi due to the fact it holds multiple flowers but they said it wasn't.

I love how it holds multiple flowers. Are there other vendors that still have this?
I can ask the Nortons.

They may have some more of these left but I doubt it. It seems like H. P. has been more focused on kovachii hybrids lately. I had bought a Rachel Kirk seedling in the 2004-2005 time frame. I did not turn out as nice as this one and I gave it away. I bought this clone and a few others in the 2007-2010 time frame. I think divisions were all they had to offer at that point. I don't know of anyone else that has made this cross. If you can find a great quality Don Wimber clone it would be very similar to a Rachel Kirk.
