Was the plant declined for judging, or was it judged and failed to win an award?

Looks pretty decent from where I'm sitting!!

Judging is a contact sport though. The downward petals aren't an issue for me. There are a LOT of awards to red/orange Phrags when these hybrids flooded the market about five years ago (they're not so common now), so the standard for this grex or similar may be pretty high?

Décidément... Je n'y comprends rien. Une pure merveille à mes yeux.

I really don't understant... It is a marvel to my eyes... but I am not a jugde!

I think there is a part of subjectivity in judging...

I prefer drooping petals than horizontal ones... A matter of taste?

Mais puisque les juges n'en veulent pas, tu voudras peut-être t'en défaire.... je suis prête à l'accueillir!!

Si, si!!

The petal stance isn't an issue with this hybrid, I would expect some variability the shape. The color is good, it basically comes down to how it compares to previous awards and the parents.

in terms of color is very dark for DIMENSIONS width is 14.5cm by 10.5 cm on a flower stem of 120 cm, it should lie with the flowers below. so the plant has been evaluated every judge seemed to agree to the dimensions and color as it is Dimension greater than what has already been judged one of the judges but not like the petals down and refuse what is put in pointing

It only takes one judge to nominate a plant for scoring. If one judge wanted to score it (all they have to do is say so), the stubborn judge has no choice but to score it too. If it was that good and no one nominated it, the team was a bunch of sissies bowing to the dominant judge. Or there was some other discussion that also precluded it???

Who cares what they thought! If you like it, that's all that matters.

My reading is that the judges refused to consider it for judging because of the drooping petals.

I guess it shows that judges are human, and make mistakes also. This is a gorgeous flower.
