Phrag Seymour Tower

I don’t have lots of orchids, and this one is very tough and keeps going! I bought it awhile ago from Orchids For You which I’ve heard recently that the owner passed away . He had a very nice shop with good plants, and was always friendly and helpful with customers

This has a nice roselike fragrance. It has some black spots and tips, my ebb/flood tank dried out a few times
This is the first time it’s had two flower spikes

This is a fantastic Phrag hybrid, and if you don't have a lot of orchids, at least you have a good one!

The fragrance, while not super strong, is really pleasant and I always look forward to it each year. For whatever reason, I find that the scent in this hybrid and in P. Hanne Popow tends to be stronger than in pure P. schlimii. Surprising since P. besseae and P. dalessandroi aren't fragrant (at least not to human noses).

One nice thing about P. Seymour Tower is that the spikes tend to branch more reliably than P. Hanne Popow. Of course, it varies from clone to clone.

The flowers on your plant are really nice! Much better than mine, I think!

What a cutie! I'd like to add this one to my collection. I have a couple of fragrant Phrags and I wouldn't mind
