I got it three years ago as a seedling from Alfredo Manrique. It came labelled as kovachii "ana" x besseae but obviously it is not a Fritz Schomburg. Also, the leaves are much more erect than in my FSs.
My guess is that it is Alfredo Manrique, but I have not ever seen one in person.
What do you think?
Despite it is not fully open yet and it has a small color brake in one of the petals, I am very pleased with shape, color (it is wine red, close to purple) and the strong substance.

Could it be Alfredo Manrique x kovachii? It seams to be more kovachii than anything else.

No, I dont think so... the NS of the flower is 10.5cm... not enough for a plant with 75% of kovachii.

It's nice whatever it is.

Thanks Susie,it is really nice, but I need a label on it ;).

Tomkalina, here you have the pics.

Flower right now:

Today I had the answer from Alfredo Marnrique (who sold me the plant). It is Phragmipedium Alfredo Manrique. He had a label exchange.
In any case I am very happy with this plant.

New chapter in this soap opera:
This morning I received an email from Alfredo.
It is not Phrag. Alfredo Manrique. (Phrag Alfredo Manrique is not tomentose like my flower).
It seems to be Phrag. Elizabeth Castle x kovachii ( = Phrag. Memoria Maria Teresa Fighetti).
