Soon. :ninja:
My son wanted me to keep the plant and let it sucker. I threw it in the yard. It looks hideous now, leaves are all bent and floppy, and no suckers. No reason to keep a huge ugly plant, when I can just plant a new pineapple top.
It was the tastiest pineapple I have ever had! Too bad it was so small that we could only get a few bites each. (Better for me...more than a few bites of fresh pineapple and I get sores on my tongue.) I had posted pictures of it earlier as it developed, but yes, this is a NYC grown pineapple. Outdoors in summer, indoors in winter. It took maybe 2.5-3 years to get this. I cut off the top of this one to plant...I'll post the next fruit in 3 years!
