Please help ID my phragmipedium Alba

The plant came from a Peruvian citizen year ago. It was sold in a show in Popayan Colombia. I Had this plant since April of 2024. Could this be a Besseae var flavum x self?

That is unknown. The plant was pick up at an orchid show many years ago from someone fron Peru that took some plants there for sale or trade.

It is almost certainly not besseae flavum x self. People have been trying for years (decades now) to breed white besseae from flavum. Although it would be insanely valuable if it was...

Manzur la Aldea? White phrags like that are like unicorns - I want one but I'll never see one. I've been growing out every potential cross I can buy for the last forever trying to get one.

Before finding that the plant came from Peru, I was hoping that it was possibly one of David's creations. I talked to David last night. We concluded that it was best for me to cut the pouch and learn from it. David is a part of the Colombian orchid society like myself. We have a whatsap group for the society and one for Colombian species that is populated with knowledgeable members. Many ideas were exchanged yesterday without concluded facts. Hoping someone in the forum will shade some light.

Not besseae flavum, not Hanne Popow flavum, possibly Saint Ouen flavum but more likely something more complex. Bill Goldner has produced similar blooms but without knowing...

That is one of the nicest whites I have seen. Thank you for sharing. That one warrants genetic work if there is a chance it is a besseae. The pouch does seem too round in my humble opinion, but what a sharp clean white!
