That is unknown. The plant was pick up at an orchid show many years ago from someone fron Peru that took some plants there for sale or trade. Was it produced in a nursery or wild collected?
It is almost certainly not besseae flavum x self. People have been trying for years (decades now) to breed white besseae from flavum. Although it would be insanely valuable if it was...The plant came from a Peruvian citizen year ago. It was sold in a show in Popayan Colombia. I Had this plant since April of 2024. Could this be a Besseae var flavum x self?

Manzur la Aldea? White phrags like that are like unicorns - I want one but I'll never see one. I've been growing out every potential cross I can buy for the last forever trying to get one.
That is one of the nicest whites I have seen. Thank you for sharing. That one warrants genetic work if there is a chance it is a besseae. The pouch does seem too round in my humble opinion, but what a sharp clean white! The plant came from a Peruvian citizen year ago. It was sold in a show in Popayan Colombia. Who does "genetic work" on orchids? I've been hoping to hear of a program for awhile but I never have. Please explain? That is one of the nicest whites I have seen. Thank you for sharing. Lol, take it easy my friend, I am in USA now, The plant is in my greenhouse in the Andes Mountains outside Medellin. But I will show you a picture of a partition ofbthat plant that I purchased recently. I did it to have a back up.Looks like it's just a besseae variant to me! Surprised no one has requested this already but WHOLE PLANT PHOTOS PLEASE!
I believe now you are heading on the right path. In case the plants did not get to Peru in a flask, I would love to know names of the most important people in the country with lab work in particular with phragmipediums like a David Manzur in Manizalez Colombia.
I inquired with a few friends in Peru as to what the source might be. Almost certainly the seedling originates from an Orchid Zone flask about 10 years ago. The plants were eventually sold in Lima without labels. The only person that might be able to provide the cross name would be Terry Root.
