Very interesting! Dot, teaguei has massive leaves. I'm not sure about the other parent.

Leo, do you have a whole plant shot?

I do not have a whole plant shot right now but I will take the measurements and a whole plant pic and post them here later this week.

This cross is MUCH smaller than P. gargantua. Based on orchidspecies.com:
(P. gargantua) flower (7.5 cm) is the largest of the genus and the other giant leafed relatives are P imperialis, P reginae, P colossus and P teaguei.

And here is a P. phymatodea ; the flower measured mere 4 mm. The flower for teaguei measured 1.25 cm (and here it says the flower can reach up to 3" across). So, the cross produces an small-intermediate size flower.

Here is a P. gargantua:

Is that your gargantua? I'm intrigued by these huge Pleurothallis, but I don't think I'd be able to grow them where I live because of the heat. I've almost given P. teaguei a try a few times because I believe it's the most warmth tolerant.

How many of these large species/ hybrids do you grow?
