Getting a fantastic blooming on the B appendiculata this year.

The double flowers on this unitubum makes for a nice pic too. I almost lost this plant a couple years ago, and it is slowly making a nice come back. These are good size flowers too, about 14 or so CM from top to bottom.

Congrats Rick! That appendiculata is really special and the unitubum is one I've wanted for a long time.

As an aside, I never really thought species like appendiculata and fascinator were anything special until my fascinator bloomed for the first time this year. It's something truly impressive. The colors and intricacies are something you really need to see in person.

Yup, They aren't bad size flowers for Bulbos to start with, but there are a lot of crazy small magnifying glass details to check out if you get bored with the flower from a distance view. Lots of moving parts on Bulbos.

The smell isn't bad until you get your nose right up next the them. Kind of "rotten fishy". And appendiculata is not as bad as fascinator.

Awesome :)
They both look pretty happy!

that unitubum is fantastic. I got a division from Bill Thims and quickly vanquished it :(
