I don't really like Cattleyas very much, but this one, even with flowers showing their age, was just so striking that I simply couldn't resist. Not the best shape or fullness, but the color is awesome, true slate gray, and the veins so dark & distinct. NS 14cm, Petals 7 cm x 9.3cm, dorsal width 2.2cm, lateral sepal width 2.3cm. one of this luedde type was awarded at the WOC at Miami 2008, where I did see this first time for me,
it was C. lueddemanniana var. coerulea `Chrystelle ... for me as european orchid enthusiast just absolutely amazing...
