Something that I have never seen!

Here is a photo of a first boom complex that I grew from flask. It was the only one that I didn’t kill. It has a bud starting in the normal spot, as well as not one but two buds coming from the base of the plant. One of the ones at the base is starting to starting to swell. The other one at the base is still flat. Anyone ever see such a thing? No chemicals have been used in the last 15 years. Only used horticulture oil.

Don't worry, these two at the base are just new starters.

I also would suspect new growths but I expect Bob to recognize the difference -- he has a lot of experience. Let us know how this progresses.

Yes, a new growth certainly makes since. That was my initial thought, however I have never seen a new growth that has gotten so plump and appear to be a bud. Time will tell, and I probable should have waited to post. Just has me a little confused.

Turns out to be just that, a new growth. That shape had me a little confused. Naturally there is the bud in the middle of the plant.
