yeah, remember when it cost 150.00 for a 4 inch seedling of roth rex x mm, the only adult stonei's cost at least 500 dollars. I remember paying 200 for a parishii x sand blooming size adult ..I thought it was the find of the century in 1997.

I posted it, of course.
We will see where it ends up.
It's a win for everyone involved. Someone gets a plant that they are happy with, we get some cash, I clear bench space. That plant is at least 15 years old. No matter what anyone bids, we lose money, if you do the math. :) :) :)
That said, a good friend and customer of mine said "Orchid Zone needs to let customers get good stuff" I paraphrase.
Part of the problem over the last 10 years is that OZ wanted to see everything bloom and price accordingly. So nothing superb is lost. Much of the joy of orchid growing is to have a high potential seedling and to have it bloom out with a superb, best ever, flower.
I am ramping up the selling of seedlings. I will keep some for future breeding, but I also want customers to have a chance at superb plants.
If someone wins a HCC, AM, or FCC, I don't feel like I shouldn't have sold the plant. I am happy and love the publicity.

It's worth mentioning, even if an FCC plant is sold, it's not really lost. Happy customers are usually happy to send back some pollen :).

John your honesty will pay big dividends if not on this sell, then future ones.
