I did it, I did it
After two failures I finally managed to get it in bloom. It's one slooooooow paph. Not the best shaped tigrinum I have seen, but what the hell, I'm satisfied anyway :)

Congratulations are in order of all the paphs out there this is the one I apreciate the most. I hope to have one in my collection someday but so far I'm not counting on it.

The only dealer in Europe that sell this species has them listed for more then 100,- euros. And as a humble beginner that's a bit to high for me. First I have to succeed in blooming a lot of the paphs I have by myself.

Thanks for sharing.

I've got my plant at L'Amazone (1 FS) for 30€...

yeap! that one... have seen in his online catalogue now and he has 1FL 50€ and 3FL 30€

Lovely! In the first photo, it looks like it wants to give you a big hug.

In my experience, tigrinum blasts the first few times it buds...then becomes a reliable bloomer. But it does develop slowly!

Thanks for the input, good to know there is more then one breeder in europe that sells this wonderfull species.
