Tipularia discolor

I don't normally do the black background thing, but these things are so hard to correctly photograph that I decided it was necessary this time.

The first photo is the normal reddish-brown color form:

This photo is of a very very pale color form. I don't think it is a true alba because I thought I saw a bit of red at the base of the flowers and a bit on the stem, but who knows. It'd be interesting to see the leaf of this individual.

Very cool. This is the only native I grow indoors and it's done well for the last four years or so. It's just now sprouting back up after its rest.
