first bloom for this one from Orchid Inn. I think this is var. attratum x FOX Catcher (not sure)

2 beauties!!!! The colors od the second one look much stronger however; maybe because of the lighting and the 'darker' background!? Jean
 
Real nice Paul. Seems a strange time to be flowering for this species. They are normally autumn flowerers for me.

It blooms generally in winter, but it can occur also in spring or autumn. I can have two blooms in a year. :)
 
Indeed, the colouration of the second one seems to be mor intense but both are lovely venustums !
I like this species very much.

I don't know, it can be the light too. Actually the first one opened as the second one has faded.
 
Venustum is always a nice paph to see. But judging from the two pictures I would say that the first one was taken with natural light and the 2nd one with the flash of the camera. Taking photo's with flash will have a huge impact of the way the colours come out in a picture.
