It blooms generally in winter, but it can occur also in spring or autumn. I can have two blooms in a year.

I don't know, it can be the light too. Actually the first one opened as the second one has faded.

The first one has a pouch almost completely pink/red.

Venustum is always a nice paph to see. But judging from the two pictures I would say that the first one was taken with natural light and the 2nd one with the flash of the camera. Taking photo's with flash will have a huge impact of the way the colours come out in a picture.

no the second one is some years older and I don't know the breeding. the pink one is from Orchid Inn
