Wanted - Fans for my orchid cabinet

Hi All,

This is a rather obscure question, but does anyone have a brand of small fan they can recommend for a humid environment? I've currently got these in my orchid cabinet:

They'd be perfect but for the fact that they're of awful quality and I don't want to risk burning my house down. The transformers are running way too hot and one of the fan units just broke on me.

I'm a big fan of Nocuta fans.

It isn't the cheapest, but it is water proof, quiet (at lower rpm), and lasts for a long time inside of my grow tents. Some of them can be submerged under water, so I don't have to worry about splashing water. They have smaller fans, but bigger fans ran at a lower voltage than 12V is quieter. Since they don't break, I'm not quite up to date with their models now, and they might have something better.

I would guess the waterproof one is a better idea, but I don't want to mess with a transformer...

My fans aren't really in danger of getting water on them. For my seedling aquarium, I wired up a computer case fan to a small transformer. It's worked great so far.

To avoid the hassle of a transformer, there are also great USB fans now. You can easily find cheap usb plugs and chargers. These ones can be daisy chained up to 6 together. I have been using those for a few months in my orchid room and greenhouse (humidity up to 99%) and they get occasional spray from watering (but wouldn't try to really shower them entirely!)

Those look great, but you actually still have a transformer (the AC/USB adapter).

duct the fan and you avoid all those issues.
