I have never had a particularly difficult time growing paphs, both mottled- and strap-leaf types, but for some reason Paph. helenae is an exception. What am I missing?

Hi Ray
My experience is that helenae like to be kept on the dry side compared to other Paphs. Let them dry a little more between watering even when they’re growing. If the pots feel like I could water today I water them tomorrow... lol. That’s what works for me in the house under lights anyway.

Grow more Phrags. and less Paphs.????? I find as I grow older that
Paphs. are just too damn sloooow for me. I had one blooming helenae
that bloomed very well twice, set new growth and died. After that,
I sold or gave away all my Paphs. Solved the problem.
