What to do with Overgrown Lanky Seedlings

A flask full of seedlings where every single one of them are thin and stretched.
My first thought is to bury them to just below where the first normal leaf starts.
Anyone has gotten a flask with such lanky seedlings?
 
I have. Did just what you thought of. Seems to work out, some roots come out "in the air" but in a humid environment, they do OK. Mine was Paph. sukhakulii, fwiw.

Pretty much half of what I got from Sam were like that, mostly species.
I buried them down. They recovered and the original roots were intact when I potted them individually.
They were very tiny.
