    Paph. philippinense, album

Some album Paphs don't compare to the coloured forms in terms of beauty but I like this very much.

    Orchid smugglers

I found this article a while ago, although it's an old story, I thought it interesting. It shows how ill equipped the authorities are in dealing with orchid smuggling and the convoluted processes. http://www.gamewarden.ab.ca/archive/Spring2005/feature.htm

What plants do you grow besides orchids?

They're looking great David. What rootstock are you using? If you're after any Eremophila plants, let me know. If I don't have a particular species, I know a guy who will. I have tried most of the common grafts on Eucalypts with no success. The next attempt will be doing bottle grafts...

    New species?

A few months ago I was reading through some of the papers relating to Paphs at the Acta Botanica Yunnanicam website. I was amazed at how many "new" Paph varieties or forms there were. It seems that some of these botanists really enjoy writing papers based on the smallest difference. I don't...

    What's happened to Ernie?

What's happened to Ernie? I had a look on the members list and it appears that he hasn't been here for almost 12 months. Mick

Ever heard of these delenatii clones?

Orchid Inn has or had a P concolor with the clone name 'half and half'. Sam may use the clone name 'half and half' to indicate normal coloured plants with album parents. http://www.orchidinnusa.com/

    wenshanense

Many of the Paph species were described based on only one plant and without accurate knowledge of where that one plant was found.

more confusion... now regarding Phrag. Grande..

You'd think the RHS would update the grexes affected by this change, I did some searches with Phrag. Leslie Garay as a parent and there was nothing. It's ok to just leave the tags as they are if your not breeding but I'm sure the RHS won't accept registrations with the old name/names.
