    Paph. Lady Rothschild 'Eclipse'

I would pay a good dollar for that plant. Great shape and balance and the size is right on with awarded clones. Very, very nice indeed! If you ever get bored of it.... :-) Christian

    Armeni White

Definitely a high quality bloom. Wow

    Finally Started: Greenhouse

Wow, I thought the size of your greenhouse is huge for a hobbist.... its all in the eye of the beholder. I would kill someone for a greenhouse that size (well maybe I would, lol). Christian

    Paph delenatii "tenderness"

The way the inflorescence wind together make it truly charming. BTW -- your flower is a quality blooming too. Nicely balanced. Christian

Paph. Prince Edward of York ( Finally !!! )

Blooming a PEOY is always a call for a celebration. Yours has very dark colors. Good potential. Christian

    Paph. Mount Toro X kolopakingii.

The price you paid for its type of breeding makes this plant is a true steal. I can't believe you get named multifloral crosses like this from Home Depot. Makes me jealous. Christian

    Paph. Jacobs Ladder

Your hybrid has great color and color contrast. I am trying to see what is different between your hybrid and a sanderianum species. I can't see any differences. Anything you can point out? Christian

    Paph. Moustache

Nice color and presentation. All the segments look great. Definitely showing potential. Christian

Paph Formosa Lady (sanderianum x Susan Booth)

Definitely one of my favorite hybrids. One great thing about it is that you never know what to expect... twisted petals or straight petals from Susan Booth. Personally, I perfer the straight petals like yours. Christian

    Meanwhile back at Home Depot.

That's crazy.... a multi-floral at Home Depot. Wow. And for 12.50. Man, some poeple are lucky. I am pretty sure it is Saint Swithin though and not roth. Enjoy it. Christian

    January blooms

The color on your urbanium is fantastic. Truly lovely. The growths on the coccineum leaves me in envy.

    Paph Joyce Hasegawa

The shape is excellent in my opinion. Saying it is "not bad" is an understatement.

    Paph. White Capricorn

Thanks for the info Dot. I figured it was a multigrowth plant. I have one with four growths and no signs of a sheath yet. Hope mine's looks as nice as yours. Imagine future bloomings with three flowers.... now we are talking extra impressive. That one extra flower would make a world...

    Paph. White Capricorn

Truly beautiful. Would you be able to post a pic of the entire plant to get a better comparison of the plant size vs. flower size? How many growths is your plant? Christian

    Paph Gloria Naugle growing tips?

Let it dry out for a couple of days and then put it outside for about 12-14 days where the night temp is mid 40ies. This trick is magic! If the growths are blooming size, you will see a sheath soon. This is how growers get their older and difficult grexes of Delrosi, GN, Harold Koops...

    Paph Gloria Naugle growing tips?

Just watch the temps closely. I think 45 degrees is good enough, eventhoug I do know one grower who goes as low as 40 degrees. Also, the newer remakes of this hybrid are made with strong/better parents that can bloom sooner and without all the tricks you will get on this thread. You may...

    Paph Gloria Naugle growing tips?

GN is known as a notoriouly difficult bloomer. I find a good cold snap will help. I have my multi X parvi crosses temps around 45-50 degrees at night for about two weeks. Basically, I leave them outside my greenhouse this time of year. This cold snap at night usually triggers this type of...

    Decisions, Decisions

BTW -- that is an excellent lookig roth. I assume a first bloom since it only has two flowers? What cross is it? It shows a lot of potential. If it were me, I would not use the roth as the pod parent and instead use the seed (which is what I think you are doing) b/c a roth of that...
