Which one should I cross it with the Paph. rothschildianum pollen?

Paph. lowii = Paph. Julius

Paph. Robinianum = unregistered

One argument in favour of crossing it with Robinianum is you could register a name of your choosing on the grex seedlings. Ultimately, though, it's you who makes the decision, since you will be the one raising the plants. So, don't let us make a decision you don't like.

They all would be great. Quality flowers as well. But I'd go with Robinianum as well. Something a bit different.

Make all three Ramon, you never know which cross will take and which will not. You can aways cut the pod off if they all take and you don't want to stress one plant out more then needed.

I agree with slipperking..... pollinate all three, you will have enough pollen. Obviously make sure the mother plant has the size and stamina to support a pod.

If I could only choose one, I would choose the Robinianum because it's a newer direction of breeding. HK and Jerry Spence are both easy to come by but roth X Robinianum is not a common cross.

Personal opinion, maybe risky to use, I would go for the Julius remake. The HK is reasonable also but it seems the are everywhere but not so Julius.

BTW -- that is an excellent lookig roth. I assume a first bloom since it only has two flowers? What cross is it? It shows a lot of potential.

If it were me, I would not use the roth as the pod parent and instead use the seed (which is what I think you are doing) b/c a roth of that quality should be allowed to flourish for a couple more growing seasons.

If you have the pollen, make all three. Roy is right, the Robinianum might not be fertile, but ... your chances of success on Robinianum improve if the pollen parent is a species vs another hybrid. Take a chance, what you have to loose?

I'd like Harold Koopowitz. The netting on this malipoense would make a good one.

Paph. Robinianum would make a cross with twisted petals probably. But will the petals twist tight enough to be attractive. I think this cross would be nice if the twists were tight enough

It may just be just due to the rarity of Robinianum in general. It is a very rare cross. I've never come across one and I've been looking for it.

A guy in our society has a Robinianum hybrid. Crossed back with lowii. So it has worked.
