I've posted a photo of this plant in the past. The tag form the vender reads Aerangis distincta 'Liese' HCC/AOS. Obviously in error.

I agree. The interesting foliage, fragrant blooms, etc, all make this species a winner but so hard to grow!

Mine is just a 3-4 growths' plant bringing up flowers (2-4 of them at the time) several times a year!

I'm just curious about the few comments if this being hard to grow. What makes it such? I have one and am just curious what people's perspectives are on this and may adjust my growing culture.

We have discussed the culture for this plant at our orchid society meeting. The consensus was that pure water was essential if the plant was to survive for many years. I don't know that that is true but that was the majority opinion here.
