Macmauden = (Paphiopedilum Macabre x Paphiopedilum Hamana Mauden)

Hamana Mauden = Maudiae X Warden

Warden = Maudiae X Holdenii

Holdenii = Maudiae X callosum

Maudiae = callosum X lawrenceanum

Hope that helps.

Thanks Stephen. Maudiae gets used quite a bit.

With that said, where does the skinny dorsal come from?

I especially like the contrasting green center, and the dark red stripes on the white dorsal!

????????????????????????:confused:

Sorry I know my response was a bit curved. Considering its genetic makeup, it is sad :)() that the plant inherited a skinny dorsal from sukhakulii, when it just as easily could have inherited a broad Maudiae dorsal. I guess that is the genetic lotto. It could have inherited so many great features or traits from sukhakulii, but landed with a weak dorsal.

But look here.
I'm not sure if this is the same plant, but it is the same cross. The shape of the dorsal is way better in this flowering!
