Yes, probably the ugliest recently known species, it is true.I remember we called sangii the same few years ago. Anyway i like it.Istvan, come to the Paph Forum in DC with it Feb 8 & 9! You can enter it in the ‘Ugliest Paph’ Category Just kidding!! It’s not ugly, but it sure is unusual! It definitely would get a lot of attention!! If it blooms like that consistently, you may start a new direction in breeding!
That is a hybrid with lunatum, quite nice! (at first, I didn't read your post carefully...I thought it was the species)It is a very striking plant - the one I saw at our paph show certainly polarised opinion.
