Hanne Popow x Lutz Rollke (both made with the flavum variation of besseae).

Bought about two years ago from Orchids Limited and pretty glad it turned out this light in colour.

Very nice.

I have the same dorsal characteristic (slight pinching towards tip) in my Lutz Rollke (one of the parents) but is not present in my Hanne Popow's the other parent).

I am none-the-less completely enamoured by your flower and would love it in my collection.

Thanks! :) I love it too!

Yours are so much bigger than mine. Thanks for sharing.
Wich ones? Georgette is really not a big plant and the Chou-Yi Wench, if you look at the previous growth, you can see that it was half the size when it first bloomed.

The pinching can be very variable from one flower to the next generally speaking. For this cross, I cared more about what colour it was going to be than it's shape. :)
My Lutz Rollke also has that pinching on the dorsal. But on Phrags, I don't really notice it anymore... unless I'm looking for a flat flower.

Lutz Rollke (using the besseae flavum)

second flower. Less pinching at the dorsal and the shape is slighly different.

I don't think I have any of the Cahaba Morning Mists left from the Bailey's original cross. The only ones I have are from Orchids Limited and single growth. (one is actually a Dragon's Blood save); and my Mem. Georgette Marcoux is single growth also, not blooming size. :(

Silvan:

Thanks for the two pics of your Lutz Rollke comparing different forms.

I love the colour intensity of your two flowers...both of which are richer than mine (sourced from J-P and I think another from Russell Stoddart).
