Very nice flower. I really ike this type of catt. Whenever you post pics of your catts I am always wondering what are the white rocs they are growing in?

The 'white rocks' aren't rocks, its coarse perlite. I grow 99% of my orchids in it, nothing else mixed in.

How do you keep them anchored in the pot until the roots get established? And when you pot up, do you discard the old media or just add more?

Watering, 100mm pots upwards, once - twice a week in winter, 80mm down pots, 3 - 4 times a week, even in winter. They dry very quickly. In summer, this will be the first full summer for the plants coming out of winter in the perlite, currently haven't had to alter the watering as from above. I do mist the plants on the low humidity days. Not many of those so far. Plenty to come though. I do feed the plants every 2nd watering.

If the plants are loose, I put in a stake & tie. It doesn't have to be tied like a broken leg, just stabilised.
Repotting I use fresh perlite. Potting on, just add new. The old perlite if still ok can be washed & cleaned ready for reuse as part of a repot.
