I have mostly grown phals, but had a rothschildianum seedling lurking behind the scenes for the last year or so. Decided to try my luck with paphs this year, so I recently acquired a sanderianum and lowii seedling.

This forum is such a great resource and a source of inspiration for sure.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I mostly do plant genomics at UCD. Been thinking of applying this to orchids, especially natural populations from Borneo, which is a special place for me.

Cool:wink: I was wondering if you were at UCD. I graduated from UCI, and have some veterinary friends that came out of UCD.

Borneo or New Guinea would be awesome work for orchid genomics.

I'd be game to write grants, but there's been such a sad stagnation in funding for plant research in general.
