First blooming for this plant. Potted in sphagnum moss + coarse perlite, under LED, grown in intermediate temperature, watered every three days and sitting in water. Always ... same as all my Phrags...well, except for some of the caudatums.
And sphagnum moss+perlite is an experiment.
Anyway, enjoy!
:)

BTW... What is the NS??? And it is warm tolerant in summer, isn't it?

Right now the NS is at 10cm. The flower opened yesterday, so it might reach 11cm. I wanted to take the picture right away in case it looses it's shape and the colours fades away. It's more red than what I've seen so far. I'd really love to see this back cross to kovachii... anyone? :D

Not sure about it being warm tolerant as I'm struggling with some bacterial rot on the second growth. But I've never been very lucky with anything related to MDC.
One of the reasons why I tried growing it in sphagnum moss.

Yay besseae hybrids. You growe in a cool area, eh?

well, right now it's 80F (26-27C) in my basement and it won't go under 75F (24-25C) during the night and it's been like that for the past six weeks or so. So, I'm not sure if it's considered to be a cool area... My Phrags are starting to be tired of that heat but my Paphs are loving it! ..well most of them..

Bienvenue!
