Minor success in that I finally got it to bloom. But I have clearly not figured out how to grow these guys. I hope this bloom is not the last gasp for this plant!

I believe you grow it on the dry side in winter and feed and water when the new growth comes away.

I found some culture from carter and Holmes; they say generally to use a loose and airy mix, water fully but then let dry almost to the center of the pot, under fertilize rather than over, and temps to mid 80's day and mid 50's night. For light indoors bright filtered light and greenhouse shade to protect thin leaves from burning. So, they are 'cool to intermediate'
