These petals are too wide to be real. I think you painted a brachy:poke:

Not my favourite colours, but the shape is very impressive. Would just these petals make it a breeder for you? Or the petals plus the genetic background?

I'd love to know more about magnetic north; it's interesting to me to have such a modern hybrid with a grandparent of Cholsey with unknown parentage. I would say that this type of cross, involving Amanda, Small World and Blendia is a pretty good bet for spectacular flowers like this one - great color and form!

Magnetic North

The late Joyce Spence reg Magnetic North after flowering Magnetic North`Lucky Strike`She was impressed by David Hempleman Adams solo expedition to the Magnetic North Pole in 1984.--`Lucky Strike` is in flower at the moment.

wow jim another flower of lovely form and color. some parents are just so important. a good idea to combine with Amanda; I wonder what the outcome of a combination with Paeony would be instead? More red? great form all around.

Lord Sieff (google: lord sieff orchid), Israel Sieff, was president of England's Marks & Spencer luxury food item and clothing retailer from 1972-1984, and employed various growers at his Brimpton estate. He sat on the British Orchid Council and was president of Birmingham and Midlands Orchid Society; despite this no RHS awards. He registered 55 hybrids, including the beautiful paph Miriam Sacher, an orange of very fine shape and parent of Willowsheen (please good this it's beautiful). He died in 2001; here's the obit: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/1323890/Lord-Sieff-of-Brimpton.html
