Short after the beginning of the new year 2025 my P. rothschildianum opened his flower. I don't know why the strong plant produced only one single flower ... ?
But as a recompension the flower was quiet large .. 28,5 cm (11,2") from petaltip to petaltip. I know, the stance of the petals could be better in the eyes of judges ... but I enjoy the flower even with this fault.

* Can contain it no longer *
He may not have the best posture but 11in is 11in.

Congratulations on both! Any roth flower is an achievement. Yours looks clean and sharp. How many leaves are on the growth?
Thanks BrucherT ... the plant has two adult fans and a third one spiking. The fan with the flower has 8 leaves and the other adult one 9 leaves. The leafspan is between 65cm (25.6") and 69 cm (27.2").

Assuming the roth has good roots, it may be that a cold snap triggered flowering prematurely.
The plant is in good conditions, looks healthy and strong. Though I didn't take it out of the pot I can exclude a root problem the same way as I can exclude a cold snap. The plants sits year round in the living room with quite constant temperatures....
