As reliable an annual bloomer as any we've seen, this remains one of my all time favorite non-slipper species. Perfumes the entire small greenhouse at night!

Totally stunning but it doesn't quite look like capense.
Mike - Please elaborate. Plant originated in South Africa as a sib cross in the late 90's.

Mike - Thanks for the info. Here's a close-up photo of the flower that might help. The few M. braybonae flowers I've seen have had a more closed or forward clasping form; they didn't seem to open quite as fully as capense.
