On the free blooming tendency, I believe it has a lot to do with the fact that my plants are not getting distinct seasons as they would experience in the wild or proper growing conditions.
When given the proper winter, these will typically bloom once around early summer, or they can bloom again once more in late summer into early fall.
I grow mine indoors year around without huge variations. Of the varieties I have tried, only this Hisui plant blooms randomly throughout the year, most during spring into summers, though.
Other varieties I had still bloomed only once or twice a year.
The major changes in blooming when given proper winter is that they will bloom in one big display. Without proper winter, they tend to throw multiple smaller shows over the course of a few months.
