Probably Rex but not Rex x MM; it was already a multigrowth plant when it was awarded. It was also huge when it was awarded, NS 34, Dorsal 6.2.

Has it flowered as big as when it was awarded in 2001,- NS 34cm, in your care?Parentage is unknown, but I don't disagree. The AM is from 2001, so it's possible.
Lol not even close. This is is the only time i have flowered it, and it is on a small growth. Very slow growing plant.Has it flowered as big as when it was awarded in 2001,- NS 34cm, in your care?
Not Salty but this is my current favorite oneLove that Salty ‘Val’, don’t see enough complexes on here. Those line bred haynaldianums are stunning, congrats! Still waiting on mine to bloom….
Interesting cheersMy understanding is that 'Alford' came out of a 'Excelsior' x 'Rex' cross.
What is this pouchless BS?
Size and color are great n perfection will be with a wider dorsal. Both flowers are beautiful…but my heart belongs to that gorgeous Roth.
